Drake and his dad, Dennis Graham is in some kind of beef after the latter ‘objected to the way he has been portrayed’ in Drake’s music.
“I had a conversation with Drake about that. I have always been with Drake,” Graham said. “I talk to him if not every day, every other day. We really got into a deep conversation about that. I said, ‘Drake why are you saying all of this different stuff about me, man? This is not cool.’ And he goes ”Dad, it sells records.'”
This was what Graham said during an interview with Nick Canon on Power 106 FM. Drake’s music had always been known to include facets from his life including his parents’ divorce and his dad being allegedly ‘absent’ from his life, as per USA Today.
Accordingly, the rapper was ‘hurt’ after his father accused him of ‘exaggerating their strained relationship for money.’
The 32 year old rapper took to Instagram by posting a story on Tuesday to share his thoughts.
“Woke up today so hurt man,” he wrote. “My father will say anything to anyone that’s willing to listen to him.”
“It’s sad when family gets like this but what can we really do that’s the people we are stuck with,” he went on. “Every bar I ever spit was the truth and the truth is hard for some people to accept.”
