There were a lot of leaks with regards to the new Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL before they were officially announced.
The company had announced the new phones they are releasing through a live stream on October 15th at Google’s hardware event held in New York City.
Reportedly, the new Google phones are released in hopes of the company “putting its software all over your daily life,” as per CNET.
Touted as “the most leaked phones,” both devices are up for preorder starting today and will be shipped on October 24th.
The Pixel 4 is reported to come in three colors: black, white and a limited edition orange one called “Oh So Orange.” Accordingly, both the Pixel 4 and the Pixel 4 XL will be carried by every major US carrier.
The regular Pixel 4 will be priced starting at $799 and the Pixel 4 XL is priced at $899.
Google also took to Twitter to announce its brand new devices.
“Introducing Google #pixel4 , our most helpful phone yet. Built around the Google software you know and love that you won’t find on any other smartphone. #madebygoogle ,” the company tweeted.
The main rivals fr Google’s much awaited release are Apple’s iPhone 11 and 11 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 which are $100 cheaper than the Pixel devices.
According to The Verge, Google has added a telephoto portrait lens beside the primary rear camera of the new Pixel phones. The said lens offer 2x zoom though a hybrid of optical and digital focus.
