The Emmy Awards is an annual event but a new Louis Vuitton high jewelry debuting on Sophie Turner’s neck is a sight to behold.
Vogue reported that this has been the first time that a celebrity worn a piece from the French brand’s collection.
The neck piece is made with white gold, 640 diamonds and 305 baguette cut diamonds and it was completed in over 1,175 hours. Called the l’Amure necklace and is from the brand’s “Riders of the Knights” collection.
“The design in inspired by medieval armor,” Francesca Amfitheatrof, Louis Vuitton’s jewelry stated. “It is a flexible necklace that moves with the body. The round diamonds and custom cut baguette diamonds accentuate its subtle elegance.”
Turner was reported to have worn the l’Armure ring that came from the collection as well. The ring had similar materials with the necklace and is comprised of white gold, 64 diamonds and 25 baguette cut diamonds.
“I wanted to create a modern piece with a surprising design, which breaks with tradition,” Amfitheatrof continued, stating that she wanted to divert a bit from the “usually subdued aesthetic” of Louis Vuitton’s high jewelry line.
The “Game of Thrones” actress was also wearing a Louis Vuitton dress design by Nicolas Ghesquière. The dress was floor length, the color was blush satin and had laser cut perforations on the breast area. Turner paired it with metallic silver strappy heels.
Turner was also nominated for “Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series” but failed to bag the award.
The lates collection from Louis Vuitton’s high jewelry line will celebrate the bravest women in history. Thailand Tattler reported that the line was designed “for the Joans of Arc and the Medicis of today.”
