Warner Bros. announced on Friday the theatrical release of “Richard Jewell”, wherein Paul Walter Hauser was chosen to do the lead role.
Clint Eastwood’s “Richard Jewell”, previously known as “The Ballad of Richard Jewell,” is based on the story of a security guard who was incorrectly accused in the bombing that happened during the 1996 Summer Olympics at Atlanta’s Centennial Park.
The screenplay written by Billy Ray has based it on the 1997 Vanity Fair Article by Marie Brenner. This described how Jewell felt from being recognized as a hero by the people for alerting the forces about the bomb in the park, but ended up being defendant for a crime he never did.
Hauser is playing the lead role together with Olivia Wilde, who will play the role of Kathy Scruggs, who covered the event as the truth unfolded.
Just recently, Hauser just ended his role in Netflix’s “Da 5 Bloods.” Also, he will be seen in Amazon’s and Mindy Kaling’s “Late Night”, and in Chris Robinson’s hip-hop drama “Beats” also on Netflix.
“Richard Jewell” is produced by Tim Moore, Jessica Meier, Kevin Misher, Jonah Hill, DiCaprio, and Jennifer Davisson and is set to release on December 13,
