The Standalone ‘Black Widow’ Movie is An Action Filled Family Reunion

The trailer for the upcoming ‘Black Widow’ movie is out on Monday and apparently, it is a family reunion -with a twist.

Scarlett Johansson is finally playing the lead role in the standalone film despite of ending her role as Natasha Romanoff during “Avengers: Endgame.”

Black Widow’s solo movie will also star Rachel Weisz and ‘Stranger Things’ actor, David Harbour.

The setting is reported to be after the events of “Captain America: Civil War” in 2016.

“I used to have nothing,” Johansson’s Black Widow says in a voiceover atop new and old clips of herself over the years. “And then I got this job; this family. But nothing lasts forever.”

The standalone Black Widow film is apparently in the works with Marvel for eight years now.

Johansson was in talks with USA Today previously with regards to keeping mum about the movie.

She said that not talking about the highly awaited movie took a toll on her.

“I’m not a guarded, secretive person by nature anyway,” the 35 year old actress said.

“One thing’s for sure, it’s gonna be a hell of a reunion,” Johansson says in the trailer.

“I think you’ll learn about what Natasha is afraid of, and I think you’ll learn about what parts of herself she’s afraid of,” Johansson told CNN. “You really see her in, like, a pretty broken-down place, and she kinda has to build herself back up.”
“Black Widow,” will be out on May 1 to kick off Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
