Tupac Shakur may be a famous dead rapper but he isn’t back from the dead because it’s his namesake that was arrested.
40 year old Tupac Shakur, was arrested in Johnson City, Tennessee after he attacked the policemen who busted him for drugs with a knife.
According to The Sun, Shakur was found carrying a syringe and several amounts of methamphetamine.
The suspect was held at the Washington County Detention Center on $18,000 bond because of the following charges: resisting arrest, aggravated assault, possession of meth and unlawful drug paraphernalia.
Reportedly, an arraignment was arranged for Monday at the Washington County General Sessions Court.
According to Fox News, Shakur was seen by the police leaving in a car, they then attempted to arrest him but he twisted away and reached for his waistband. He then allegedly faced towards the policemen with a knife in his hand.
Apparently, the suspect is the namesake of the late rapper, Tupac Shakur who was killed by shooting in Las Vegas on September 1996. The police were uncertain as to there was a legal name change at some point of the 40 year old’s life.
If it was purely coincidence that he happened to possess the name at birth, then that would have been years before Tupac the rapper rose to fame.
The rapper’s full name is Tupac Amaru Shakur and after his death, there were a lot of conspiracy theories that surfaced.
Apparently, people believed that Tupac Shakur the rapper was still alive.
